Leasha Overturf Reviews the U120 Bag
Monday, 30 April 2007 00:00

The U120 bag is perfect for a day of being out shooting in the streets. As far as backpack style of bags, it's one of the most comfortable I've ever tried. The adjustable, padded straps make it almost unnoticeable. And, it is very contoured on how it lays against your back and I have to say it is just the right size for the female frame.

The overall size of this bag is great. It is very compact but still holds all that I need. It's so roomy there are times I could probably get by with the U60 or a smaller shoulder bag instead, but what the U120 offers is the slot for the computer. It is in a very padded area that has quick access. And the front outer pockets of the bag allow for me to keep my computer charger and cables neat and organized.

When I'm out shooting in the streets I generally have one camera and lens around my neck and then have another body and 2 lenses in the bag. And, I also always have 1 or 2 point and shoot cameras. All of which fits very comfortably into the U120 bag. Although it's compact in size the bag has a feature in which it will support a small tripod on the side of the bag in a special pocket area. The compactness of the bag allows it to easily fit in the overhead or under the seat in front of me on my airplane journeys.

Another great feature of this bag is the zip out insert case. Just like my beloved M700 bag, if needed, I can zip out my camera section and convert this bag to a daypack. It's sleek looking bag that can carry just enough for a quick overnight trip whether its clothes or cameras.

The material the bag is made out of is very rugged and most importantly water resistant. When caught out in a light rain, I no longer panic to get to shelter. Often when shooting, I will take the bag off of my back and set it down wherever I am. It's been in some dirty terrain and the bag still looks brand new.

The U120 is a great compact bag for the pro or the amateur. Check it out!
