Please welcome our newest Friend of Naneu, Brandi E. Irwin!
Brandi Irwin is often referred to as, “The Girl with Gills,” earning her SCUBA certification at just 17 years old. After modeling in New York City for roughly ten years, Brandi developed an interest in photography from the other side of the lens. Combining her love of the ocean and photography, she started Liquid Film Photography LLC. to pursuing extreme underwater imaging.
With a camera in her hands and tank on her back, she has been actively taking photos where ever she could find water. Brandi started shooting interesting marine life, coral reefs, underwater fashion, and even bands underwater. Darkness, this is the shooting environment Brandi is drawn to the most. Brandi is one of the first professional underwater photographers to shoot and bring to surface marine fluorescence photography, which takes place at night in the ocean.
Brandi has been featured on NBC New York Nightly News with Chuck Scarborough, NY1, NewsOn6 in Tulsa, The Underwater Photography Guide, and Livescience.com to name a few. Irwin was the first to be invited to exhibit at The New York Aquarium, and most recently had an exhibit as well as live demonstrations of underwater photography at The Oklahoma Aquarium.
