Jeremy Hunter has divided his time over the past twenty-five years between television and photojournalism. He was a foreign correspondent for the NIRTV in Tehran, reporting extensively from around the world - the civil war in Lebanon, the first democratic elections in Portugal, the uprising in India and assassination of Indira Gandhi, and the coronation of the cannibal 'emperor' Jean-Bedel Bokassa in the Central African Empire. This was followed by a period as on-screen news and current affairs reported for Granada Television from where he went to the BBC as writer/producer. His last series as writer/producer was for Channel 4 Cutting Edge - "The French Foreign Legion".

Throughout a long career in television and the media, he has taken a special interest in documenting the world's festivals, rituals, pilgrimages and celebrations. With the help of anthropologists, specialist academics and local indigenous groups, he has taken every opportunity on his travels to research, compile, photograph and participate in them. "Let's Celebrate" is the result of his life-long interest and work.
