John J. Lopinot is a freelance photographer specializing in editorial assignments, nature and underwater photography and personalized photography and computer instruction.
He was a photojournalist and the Deputy Director of Photography at the Palm Beach Post for 33 years, retiring in 2008.
An award-winning photographer, he is also a skilled instructor, teaching over 300 workshops in the past 25 years.
He has won over 150 awards for his photography and newspaper design and has been a featured speaker at many professional photographic conferences.
His work has been exhibited in the South Florida area and his photographs have been featured in National Geographic magazine, Time, Newsweek, National Wildlife Magazine, The New York Times, USA Today, World Book Encyclopedia, book covers, audio CDs, posters, calendars, billboards, advertisements, brochures and in numerous other national and international publications.
He has worked for Apple Computers as a Specialist and Creative Instructor.
